Documentary highlights Carthage native's ministry work Pastor Patrinell Staten Wright shared her documentary “The Total Experience” with the Carthage community on Friday. Wright, along with her husband the Rev. Benny Wright, brother Greg Staten, and personal assistant Tia Young are traveling throughout the nation sharing her experience in the gospel world. Throughout her documentary, Wright shares memories growing up in Carthage. She graduated as the 1961 Class Valedictorian of Turner High School. Her father was former pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and her mother was a school teacher. The documentary premiered in June at the Seattle International Film Festival. Wright founded the Total Experience Gospel Choir in 1973 and kept it going for 45 years, taking members to perform in 28 states, five continents and 22 countries.
